Welcome to ClassMate (“we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using the ClassMate website (www.classmate.qa) or the ClassMate mobile application (the “App”), you (“you”, “user”, “student”, or “vendor”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.
1. About ClassMate
ClassMate is a digital platform operated in Qatar that connects verified students with partnered vendors, offering exclusive discounts, promotions, and benefits. The platform also provides vendors access to marketing tools, analytics, and visibility among Qatar’s student community.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 12 years old and either a student enrolled in an educational institution or a verified vendor/brand representative.
Students must verify their eligibility through their educational email, student ID, or ClassMate verification process.
Vendors must have valid business registration and authorization to offer promotions through ClassMate.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
ClassMate reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be fraudulent, inactive, or in violation of these Terms.
4. Use of the Platform
You agree to use the Site and App only for lawful purposes. You may not:
Use the platform in any manner that violates applicable Qatari laws or international regulations.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system or interfere with its functionality.
Misrepresent your identity, educational status, or affiliation.
Copy, modify, or resell any part of the ClassMate platform or content without permission.
Use the platform to transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content.
5. Vendor Partnerships and Offers
Vendors participating in ClassMate must agree to the applicable Vendor Agreement outlining commission/subscription terms, marketing packages, and operational rules.
Offers, discounts, and rewards are provided solely at the discretion of the vendor and may be subject to change or withdrawal without prior notice.
ClassMate is not liable for vendor errors, discontinued offers, or product/service quality.
Students must present valid verification (via app QR or student ID) at redemption. Misuse may result in suspension of account privileges.
6. Payments and Fees
For vendors: fees (setup, subscription, or commission) are governed by the signed Vendor Agreement.
For students: downloading and using the ClassMate App is free.
All payments to ClassMate (by vendors) must be made in Qatari Riyals (QAR) through approved payment channels.
Late or failed payments may result in suspension of vendor listings or legal recovery of dues.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the Site and App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, software, and trademarks — is the property of ClassMate or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, or exploit any portion of the platform without prior written consent.
“ClassMate” and the ClassMate logo are registered or pending trademarks in Qatar and other jurisdictions.
8. Content Created by Users
Users (students, vendors, or creators) who submit or share content (reviews, photos, videos, etc.) grant ClassMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and promote such content in marketing or on the platform.
You confirm that any content you upload is your original work and does not infringe on any third-party rights.
ClassMate may remove any content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of these Terms.
9. Marketing and Communications
By using ClassMate, you consent to receiving:
Push notifications, in-app alerts, and marketing messages related to offers or updates.
Email or WhatsApp communications (if opted in) for announcements, campaigns, and vendor promotions.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time through your app settings or by contacting us at info@classmate.qa.
10. Data Protection
Your personal data is collected and processed according to our Privacy Policy.
By using ClassMate, you acknowledge and consent to this processing as described therein.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
ClassMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from use of the platform.
ClassMate does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
All discounts, offers, and promotions are the responsibility of the vendor providing them.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClassMate, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your use of the Site or App;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in any activity harmful to ClassMate or its users.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Qatar.
15. Changes to the Terms
ClassMate reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Site and App with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
